SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Oct-2015
100% Pinot Noir from the ‘Hagen’ vineyard in the Southern Valleys, fermented to 12.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS. Bright, very pale salmon-pink colour, very pale on rim. The nose is slender in proportion with moderately deep aromas of strawberries, pomegranate and cranberries, unveiling subtle herb nuances and red florals that provide some lift. Elements of confectionary show, along with some mouthwatering mineral hints. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, light and soft flavours of strawberries and quince form a gentle, rounded, near unctuous core. The wine flows easily with some slippery, thirst-quenching acidity providing energy, and the wine carries to a fresh, dry finish with light floral notes. This is a soft, gentle rosé with flavours of strawberries and quince and a smooth-flowing, fresh mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 18 months to 2 years. 17.5-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $24.00
