SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Jul-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a slight blush, near colourless on the edge. The nose is softly full and gently voluminous with aromas of yellow stonefruits, exotic florals and subtle notes of pears and honeysuckle unfolding to provide aromatic and lifted detail. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features soft aromatic fruit flavours of yellow stonefruits, exotic florals, pears and honeysuckle which build to form a positive heart. The mouthfeel is soft and rounded with gentle acidity and the wine flows along a fine-textured line, leading to an aromatic, but dry finish with lifted florals. This is a soft, aromatic, off-dry Pinot Gris with exotic flavours and fine, rounded mouthfeel. Match with Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 5.9 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Jul 2016 RRP $19.00
