SOHO ‘White Collection’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Sep-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a suggestion of blush, lighter on edge. This has a soft, voluminous nose of up-front, exotic yellow florals, honeysuckle and pears, along with fresh, lifted fermentation esters, the aromatics building in depth in the glass. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, lifted white florals and pear fruit flavours are enriched by honeysuckle notes. The mouthfeel is gentle with soft textures and restrained acidity enhancing the roundness of the palate. The flavours carry through to a light, dry finish with lifted florals and esters. This is a fresh, youthful off-dry Pinot Gris with up-front, lifted pear fruit and florals and a light finish. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 3 years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Sep 2015 RRP $20.00
