SOHO ‘Stella’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Aug-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is fresh and youthful with mouthwatering aromas of lifted passionfruit entwined with fermentation esters, revealing a core of gooseberry fruit, limes, cut grass and herbs. Dry to taste, the palate is elegant and slender in expression with tightly bound, clear and pure flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries with cooler grassy notes. The mouthfeel features crisp, racy acidity and a fine, drying phenolic line at the core. The wine flows with good linearity carrying through to a light, dry, crisp finish. This is a tight, crisp, dry and slender, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc. Seve as an aperitif, with seafood, salads and vegetables and goats cheese over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Lower Awatere Valley, Southern Valleys and Upper Wairau, fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Aug 2014 RRP $24.00
