SOHO ‘Stella’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Aug-2013
Bright, very pale straw-green colour. The bouquet is light and tightly contained with a refined core of passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas, revealing gooseberry notes and nuances of fermentation esters. Dry to taste, subtle flavours of pungent passionfruit build to fill the palate. The mouthfeel is soft in texture with ripe, fine, mouthwatering acidity. This has harmony and balance, offering a seamless and even flow with good linearity, leading to a long, elegant finish with tropical fruits and limes. This is a harmonious and subtly mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit flavours. Match with Mediterranean fare, and goats or creamy cheeses over the next 2+ years. Fruit from four sites from the Awatere, Southern Valleys and Wairau, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $24.00
