SOHO ‘Pink Sheep’ Marlborough Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Nov-2018
Bright, even, strawberry-pink colour with slight peach hues and some depth, pale on the edge. The nose is elegantly concentrated with a firm and intense heart with good intensity and penetration of strawberry and watermelon fruit along with red floral nuances, and refreshing, steely mineral elements. Dry to taste, and medium-bodied, the palate has subtly rich and succulent flavours of strawberry fruit with some watermelon and delicate red floral notes, unfolding some confectionary elements. The fruit forms a rich and vibrant core, enlivened by crisp, lacy acidity, and the wine flows along a fine-textured line leading to an elegant, lingering finish. This is a gently rich and succulent-fruited dry rosé with vibrant strawberry, watermelon and confectionary flavours on a fine-textured, refreshing palate. Serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir from the Southern Valleys, Wairau fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. $6.00 per case sold donated to mental health charities. 18.0/20 Nov 2018 RRP $26.00
