Full, deep purple with a ruby core, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full and elegant, with aromas of cedar, blackberry, plum, cassis, tobacco leaf, spice and meaty nuance. Full-bodied, aromas of blackberry, cassis, plum and raspberry entwined with nutmeg, clove, tobacco leaf and cedar. The fruit is juicy and shows purity, supported by enlivening acidity. Fine-grained tannins provide structure and vitality, unfolding spice and cedar complexity and lending a sustained finish. A well-structured Merlot dominant blend, highlighting bright fruit and elegant power. Match with venison and porterhouse steak over the next 10 years. A blend of 58% Merlot, 21% Petit Verdot, 13% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc and 1% Syrah. Fermented to 13.5% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Mar 2025 RRP $150
