Soderberg ‘Single Vineyard’ ‘Home Block’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2011

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Nov-2013
Full, very deep, dark ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. This has a fresh, finely concentrated and intense bouquet of black cherry and berry fruits, and raspberry liqueur intermixed with dark earth and mineral elements and an aromatic floral lift. Medium-full bodied, rich and concentrated flavours of dark raspberries, earth and minerals are the feature on palate. The mouthfeel is firm with a strong, driven core from fine, grainy tannin extraction and bright, slippery acidity. This has good linearity carrying the flavours of raspberries and spice to a very long, sustained and dry, textured finish. This is a well-concentrated, dark-fruited Pinot Noir with fine grainy textures and a slippery flow. Serve with roasted pork, beef or lamb over the next 6-8 years. 13.25% alc. 145 dozen made. 18.5/20 Sep 2013 RRP $37.00
