Snapper Rock Marlborough Sauvignon Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2016
Bright, light salmon-pink colour with some depth and a suggestion of purple, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh with delicate aromas of gooseberry fruit melded with strawberries and red fruits, unfolding red floral elements. The red fruit aromas grow to prevail. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a good core of gooseberry fruit melded with strawberries and florals. The mouthfeel is fresh and mouthwatering with light grainy phenolic textures and lacy acidity providing tension and linearity. The palate flows with juiciness and zestiness, leading to a thirst-quenching, dry finish. This is a crisp and zesty, light-textured dry rosé with integrated gooseberry, strawberry and floral flavours. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, a blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Pinot Noir, fermented to 13.5% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS. 15.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $16.99
