Snapper Rock Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a faint suggestion of blush, near colourless on edge. The nose is light, clean and fresh, with delicate aromas of white stonefruits and lifted white florals, along with herbal nuances in a harmonious amalgam. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has light flavours of white stonefruits along with subtle exotic floral notes, a little honeysuckle and herb nuances. The fruit possesses a gentle sweetness and richness, enlivened by fresh, lacy acidity, and the wine flows with good tension and energy, leading to a fine, lingering finish with delicate white stonefruit and florals. This is a light, subtly rich, refreshingly dry Pinot Gris with white stonefruit and floral flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. Marlborough fruit tank-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS, the wine aged 6 weeks on lees. 16.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $16.99
