Deep purple with a ruby-red core, even colour throughout. The nose is gentle and alluring, with aromas of black plum, blackberry, violet, bacon, stony minerals and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas black plum and blackberry, entwined with cigar, violet, liquorice, peppercorn, bacon and stone. Stony minerals and fine-grained tannins enrich the dark fruit and unfold spice and meaty nuance. Aptly, lively acidity provides freshness to the concentrated palate and lends a structured, lasting finish. Match with roasted lamb leg and hanger steak over the next 10 years.
