Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Apr-2023
Bright, eve, pale yellow. The nose is full and expressive, packed with aromas of gooseberry and whitecurrant melded with green herbs, flint and oyster shells. Medium-light bodied, aromas of gooseberry and whitecurrant form a soft core, unfolding chervil, flint and oyster shells. The mouthfeel is adorned by chalky minerals, reflecting oyster shells and saline. The soft acid line carries subtle flinty details to a crisp finish. This crisp Sauvignon Blanc has a pure fruit expression with flint and mineral complexities. Match with steamed clams and pan-fried sole over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from Renwick, Omaka and Dillons Point Vineyards, fermented cool to 12.5% alc, aged on lees. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Apr 2023 RRP $30
