Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Sep-2022
Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is soft and gentle full of fresh aromas of pineapple and passionfruit interweaving white spice, green tomato and chervil. Medium-light bodied, smooth flowing palate unfolding salted pineapple, passionfruit entwined with green tomato, chervil and subtle white pepper. A hint of sea salt lingers to a moreish, textural finish. Acidity is mouth-watering and integrated, slowly flowing with good energy, and chalky minerals adorn a fine-textured mouthfeel. This Sauvignon Blanc is elegant, with pineapple and passionfruit at the core, herbaceous, savoury details and a delicate, chalky palate. Match with green-lipped mussels and fish terrine over the next 2-4 years. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Sep 2021 RRP $20
