Sliding Hill Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Jul-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is full in volume and depth, packed with aromas of green stonefruits and an amalgam of fragrant gooseberries, cut grass and subtle secondary green bean nuances. Dry to taste and medium-full bodies, the palate possesses mouthfilling flavours of green stonefruits, gooseberries, savoury cut grass and capsicum notes, unfolding a layer of secondary green bean detail. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively with crisp, lac acidity enlivening the body and presence. Fine textures provide structure and supple grip, and the wine carries to a fulsome finish with breadth of flavour and good length. This is a fulsome and lively Sauvignon Blanc with layers of stonefruit, gooseberry and capsicum flavours and some secondary development detail. Match with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit WBP and cool-fermented in stainless-steel with a small portion in seasoned oak to 13.0% alc. 17.0+/20 Jul 2016 RRP $19.95
