Sliding Hill Marlborough Pinot Noir 2017

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Oct-2018
Even, dark ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, youthful in appearance. This has a finely proportioned nose with aromas of dark-red and black berried fruits entwined with a hint of plums along with dark herbs. The aromatics are gently integrated and harmonious in expression. Medium-full bodied, the palate has gently rich flavours of dark-red and black berried fruits with plum suggestions and dark herbs. The flavours are enlivened by bright acidity and the fruit underlined by light, grainy tannin structure, carrying the wine to an elegant finish. This is a gently rich Pinot Noir with dark-red and black fruits, herbs and plums on a fresh palate with balanced extraction. Match with pork, lamb and beef over the next 4 years. Marlborough fruit fully destemmed and fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 10 months in 15% new oak. 17.0+/20 Oct 2018 RRP $TBA
