Silver Fern Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 30-Nov-2017
Bright, even, pale straw colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is finely expressed with tightly bound and taut aromas of white stonefruits and subtle notes of white florals, and a hint of honeysuckle. The aromatics build to form a good core. This has fruit purity and freshness. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is taut and slender with flavours of white stonefruits intermingling with white florals and chalky minerals. The mouthfeel is crisp with light racy acidity and the wine flows along a light, fine-textured line leading to a light finish. This is a taut and slender, dry Pinot Gris with white stonefruit and floral flavours with minerally textures and brisk acidity. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.7 g/L RS. 16.5-/20 Dec 2017 RRP $17.95
