Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Aug-2016
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is taut and moderately concentrated with aromas of pungent passionfruit unfolding to reveal nuances of tropical fruits and fresh herbs, along with mouthwatering minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, soft, succulent and juicy flavours of passionfruit show with tropical fruit notes. The fruit sweetness is balanced by light, drying phenolic textures, with integrated acidity lending energy and linear drive. The flavours are mouthfilling and carry to a textured, thirst-quenching finish. This is a gently succulent, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with light, dry textures and mouthwatering acidity on the finish. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel with 12% Semillon blended, the wine at 12.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Aug 2016 RRP $19.99
