Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 10-Oct-2016
Bright, pale cerise-pink colour with some depth and light purple hues on the rim. The nose is softly fresh and delicate with aromas of strawberries and watermelon with nuances of savoury red florals and subtle notes of confectionary adding lift. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses soft flavours of strawberries melded harmoniously with watermelon, subtle herb and red floral elements, forming a gently concentrated core. The mouthfeel has some lusciousness with fine-textures and balancing, light acidity lending freshness. The flavours flow smoothly, revealing confectionary notes, leading to a dry, light-textured, mouthwatering finish. This is a soft, harmonious dry rosé with light strawberry, watermelon, herb and floral flavours and subtle confectionary notes, and a dry, thirst-quenching finish. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes, and with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Made from Merlot fruit from the Bridge Pa Triangle, pressed off and with saignee juice, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.1 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Oct 2016 RRP $19.99
