Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 28-Aug-2016
Bright straw-yellow colour with a hint of blush, lighter on the rim. The nose is light with tight aromas of clean, uncomplicated white stonefruits with nuances of white florals and rose-petals, along with savoury lees elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate possesses light flavours of white stonefruits unfolding nuances of florals and minerals. The fruit is modestly concentrated, but the mouthfeel is balanced and harmonious, with soft, fine textures and integrated acidity. The wine carries gently to a light finish of stonefruits and florals. This is a light, harmonious dry Pinot Gris with flavours of stonefruits and florals. Serve as an aperitif and with poultry over the next 2 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 4.9 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 16.0+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $19.99
