Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 24-Jun-2016
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with a suggestion of blush, very light on the edge. The nose is light, tightly bound and fresh with aromas of white stonefruits along with a subtle floral lift, and fresh, steely, mouthwatering mineral elements. Dryish to taste and light-bodied, the palate possesses soft and light flavours of white stonefruits entwined with white florals and soft minerals. The fruit expression is clean and pristine. The mouthfeel is soft with flowing, rounded textures and soft and harmonious acidity lending a hint of unctuousness. The wine carries to a light, simple and clean stonefruited finish. This is a light dryish Pinot Gris with soft, clean stonefruit flavours and a smooth-flowing palate. Serve as an aperitif and with delicate Asian fare over the next 2 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 11.0% alc. and 5.2 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 15.5+/20 Jun 2016 RRP $19.99
