Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2015

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 24-Jun-2016
Bright, golden-hued straw-yellow colour with lemon hues. The nose is fresh with light aromas of citrus fruits and yellow stonefruits along with subtle, lifted nutty oak nuances. The aromatics are clean and lively. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has an elegant core of citrus and stonefruits entwined with a little nutty oak and subtle lemon-curd MLF elements. The mouthfeel is gently refreshing and zesty with lacy acidity, and the wine follows a light textural threaded line that carries to a light, lingering finish with reserved citrus fruit and lemon-curd MLF notes. This is a light, refreshing, citrus and stonefruited Chardonnay with lacy acidity and a light textured line. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented in stainless-steel with a small portion in French oak to 13.0% alc., 40% of the wine undergoing MLF. 16.0-/20 Jun 2016 RRP $19.99
