Sileni Estates ‘Cellar Selection’ Hawke’s Bay Cabernet Franc Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 11-Sep-2018
Bright, very pale candy-floss pink, lighter on the rim with a suggestion of purple. The nose is fresh with a firm and well-packed nose of redcurrants with florals and subtle notes of herbs, and mouthwatering minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegantly concentrated heart with tightly bound flavours of redcurrants, red floral and subtle notes of fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is refreshing with crisp acidity and the wine flows along a light, phenolic-textured, thirst-quenching line, leading to a dry, light finish. This is a crisp, dry, refreshing rosé with subtle redcurrant floral and herb flavours on a light-textured, taut, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif, with canapés and antipasto over the next 2 years. Cabernet Franc fruit from the Bridge Pa Triangle and Dartmoor Valley, picked direct to press, given some skin contact and cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Sep 2018 RRP $18.99
