Shingleback Haycutters Shiraz 2019, McLaren Vale

Shiraz from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 13-Oct-2021
Deep, full, dark purple colour, lighter on the rim. The nose is full and rich, packed the glass with ripe blackberries, dark plums, interweave eucalyptus, cedar and smoke. Full-bodied, rich aromas of blackberries, dark plum coulis entwined with savoury oak and spice, herb lingers. The fruit is rich and ripe, provides weight and breadth on the palate, enriched by toasty oak elements. The mouthfeel is smooth with a light grip of ripe tannin. This is a straightforward Shiraz with generous ripe black fruit, toasty oak details on a soft palate. Match with barbeque lamb and meat pies over the next 3-4 years. Fermented to 14% alc. 17.5-/20 pts (87 pts) Oct 2021 RRP $19.99
