Shelter Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Aug-2015
Bright straw-yellow colour with pale lemon-green hues. The nose is initially shy, but reveals aromas of gooseberries, cut grass, green stonefruits and herbs, along with subtly sweet tropical fruit notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features positive and up-front flavours of gooseberries, herbs, cut grass and stonefruits. The fruit is underlined by light, dry, phenolic textures that combine with the fresh acidity to provide a firm core and balanced, textured line. The fruit flavours are carried to a moderately long and sustained finish of gooseberries and herbs. This is an up-front Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry, grassy and herbal fruit flavours with a fresh, textured line. Match with salads and vegetables and with Mediterranean fare over the next 18 months to 2 years. Fruit from two of the company’s main vineyards, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 1.5 g/L RS. 16.0/20 Aug 2015 RRP $17.00
