Selaks ‘The Taste Collection’ ‘Velvety’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-May-2017
Moderately deep ruby-red colour, lighter on the edge with garnet hues. The nose is light and restrained in expression with aromas of red berry fruits entwined with dark and fresh herbs, along with suggestions of minerally reduction. Medium-bodied, the palate possesses bright red berry fruit flavours along with fresh and dark herb notes and suggestions of minerals. The fruit is underlined by fresh, steely acidity and light tannin structure. The brisk acidity carries the flavours to a fresh, racy light-fruited finish. This is a bright, red berry and herb flavoured Pinot Noir with underlying racy acidity and light tannin structure. Serve with antipasto, with tuna or salmon, and with poultry over the next 2-3 yeas. Marlborough fruit destemmed and fermented with whole berries to 13.0% alc., with portions aged in oak barriques and cuves. 16.5/20 May 2017 RRP $21.99
