Selaks ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-May-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with a slight blush to the heart. The nose is softly full and voluminous with lifted aromas of exotic florals and esters entwined with tropical fruits and honeysuckle elements. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of white and yellow stonefruits is initially light. Subtle exotic florals and honey notes build to provide the mid-palate with good richness. The mouthfeel is fresh with positive vinosity and balanced acidity, and a delicate textural line carries the flavours to a light, dry finish. Very bold and aromatic on bouquet, this off-dry Pinot Gris is light and gentle on palate. Match with antipasto and seafood, or serve with Asian fare over the next 3 years. Fruit from the Awatere Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.3% alc. and 6 g/L RS. 17.0/20 May 2014 RRP $16.99
