Selaks ‘Luscious’ Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 18-Oct-2017
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is fresh with soft aromas of white stonefruits and florals and nuances of honeysuckle and minerals. The aromatics show good depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has restrained, light flavours of white and yellow stonefruits with subtle floral notes and suggestions of honeysuckle. The mouthfeel has a soft richness and is balanced by light, refreshing acidity and the wine flows along a fine line, leading to a dry finish with light stonefruit and honeysuckle notes. This is a light fruited dry Pinot Gris with a subtle richness and fresh mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif and with most white meat dishes over the next 2+ years. Hawke’s Bay fruit cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS, the wine aged one month on lees. 16.5/20 Oct 2017 RRP $21.99
