Seifried Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 30-Jan-2017
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is softly full and gently voluminous with aromas of passionfruit and tropical fruits, along with notes of fresh herbs and suggestions of cut grass and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has up-front flavours of ripe passionfruit with fresh herb and mineral elements. The fruit is accessible showing a soft richness, and balanced with harmonious lacy acidity enlivening the mouthfeel. The wine flows with good energy along a soft-textured line, carrying to a rounded, passionfruity finish. This is an up-front, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with balanced richness and harmonious acidity providing attractive accessibility. Match with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit predominantly from the ‘Brightwater’ vineyard along with ‘Queen Victoria’ and ‘Rabbit Island’ fruit, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.4 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Feb 2017 RRP $17.00
