Seifried Nelson Gruner Veltliner 2011

Gruner Veltliner from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 13-Sep-2011
The first release of Austria's most planted variety grown by the Seifried family, fruit from the ‘Brightwater' vineyard fermented to 12.5% alc. Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with some green hues. The bouquet is fresh and pure with good depth of subtle herb and peppery fruit. Dry to taste, this is medium-weighted with up-front herb and white pepper fruit, providing a good core and presence. The palate carries moderate acidity, providing softened textures to the solid line through the palate. A straight forward, well-expressed Gruner Veltliner with the depth to match most white meat dishes over the next 2-3+ years. 17.0+/20 Sep 2011 RRP $21.00
