Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is elegant and gently full, with a flinty overlay, roasted hazelnut, toasted brioche, citrus and stonefruit. Medium-full bodied, lemon, ripe nectarine and peach aromas intertwined with roasted hazelnut, flint, toast and minerals. Minerals and texture flow along a creamy mouthfeel; lively acid persists with toasty complexity to a long lingering. This Chardonnay possesses ripe citrus, stonefruit and a toasty injection supported by bright acidity. Match with roasted pork and hazelnut-crusted grouper over the next 3-5 years. Handpicked, whole bunch pressed, light settling, inoculated and transferred to French oak puncheons, 25% new oak, aged for 10 months, minimal lees stirring, underwent MLF. 14.5% alc. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) Feb 2023 RRP $27.50
