Scutt Wines Untitled Pinot Meunier Rosé 2023, Nelson

Rosé from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 22-Feb-2024
Bright, even, pale neon pink. The nose is vibrant with elegant aromas of cherry, raspberry, watermelon, delicate spice and a touch of floral perfume. Medium-light bodied, aromas of raspberry and cherry have a taut core, entwined with watermelon, refined spice and floral details. The mouthfeel is delicate with a chalky mineral line; zingy acidity enlivens and persists in a refreshing and poised finish. This Pinot Meunier Rosé is elegantly expressed with attractive fruit and depth supported by enlivening acidity. Serve as an aperitif or match with prawn sushi roll over the next 2-3 years. Handpicked from a 20 y.o. dry-farmed block, destemmed and lightly crushed with 40% whole berries, 24 hours on skins, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc. 1,150 bottles produced. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Feb 2024 RRP $30
