Schubert Wairarapa Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 03-Dec-2016
Very pale strawberry pink colour. This has a very delicate nose with pale red florals, strawberries and watermelon with nuances of herbs and cranberries. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours are very delicate, showing strawberries, watermelon and cranberries. The mouthfeel is very fine-textured, dry, refreshingly mouthwatering, with some soft acid tension. This flows subtly to a floral finish. This is a European-styled, delicate and dry style, but fresh and clean with fruit purity. Not a saignee wine. but a purpose-made rosé. 100% Pinot Noir given 5 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and dryness. 17.5+/20 Dec 2016 RRP $27.00
