Brilliant, very pale staw colour. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with an intriguing blend of gently aromatic floral fruit with subtle stonefruit and citrus notes, herbs and spicy, nutty oak elements and a suggestion of barrel-ferment creaminess, balanced by mineral detail. Dry to taste, the palate is youthfully fresh, tightly bound, taut and firm, the barrel-ferment nuttiness and spicy oak prevalent at this stage. There is an aromatic richness contained, and thirst-quenching herb and mineral elements emerge. The acidity has a brisk piquancy and carries to a youthfully bright and lacy finish. The oak is showing over the fruit at present, but wait 2+ years. A blend of Muller-Thurgau, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, varying each vintage, WBP and fully barrel-fermented in puncheons and barriques to 13.0% alc. 18.0+/20 Dec 2016 RRP $33.00
