Schoffit ‘Old Vine’ Alsace Chasselas 2011

Other White from France - Alsace
Review Date : 17-Mar-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour. This has a very clean and pure nose, with mineral and white stonefruit aromas, quite thirst-quenching and refreshing. This has intensity and penetration and appears very primary and youthful. Very dry, this is racy and crisp, with intense and focussed white stonefruit flavours. The fruit has delicacy, and cut with brisk, high acidity providing freshness and a zingy mouthfeel. The palate is driven with excellent linearity and has an underlying power that carries through to a tight, racy finish. This is a very fresh and crisp, mouthwatering Chasselas. From 80+ y.o. vines, 13.0% alc. 17.5+/20 Mar 2014 RRP $35.99
