Sanctuary Marlborough Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Apr-2014
Dark ruby-red colour with good depth, youthful in appearance. This has a fresh, bright, vibrantly fruity, primary nose with lifted raspberry and herbal fruit aromas along with florals and red liquorice. Medium-bodied, the juicy raspberry fruit flavours are up-front and straightforward, moderated by soft, drying tannin textures and mellow acidity. Some alcohol power is noticeable, carrying the fruit flavours that recede gently, to a light, grainy, dry finish. This is a fruit-focussed, light Pinot Noir with good aromatics. Serve with antipasto and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the Wairau, Seventeen and Waihopi valleys, fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 12 months in French oak. 16.5/20 Apr 2014 RRP $18.00
