Salomon & Andrew Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Jul-2014
Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc., the wine aged on lees. Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless on rim. The nose is soft and light with ethereal aromatics of white florals, soft herbs and delicate gooseberry fruit, the bouquet attractively lifted and detailed. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, this is slender in presentation with tightly bound flavours of white florals and stonefruits, gooseberries and sweet tropical fruits. The mouthfeel is crisp, brisk and racy, the palate with a slippery acid flow, flowing a very fine textural line. The wine carries to an elegant sweet and luscious, mouthwatering finish with gooseberry and mineral elements. This is an elegant, slender, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with subtle gooseberry and minerally flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. 17.5-/20 Jul 2014 RRP €15.00
