Saint Clair ‘Vicar’s Choice’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Bubbles 2011

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Nov-2011
Very pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, the bead fine, and light in persistence. The nose is fresh and softly full with clean, clear-cut passionfruit and guava-like aromatics, along with a minerally note. Dry and crisp to taste, this is moderately fruity, showing restrained tropical fruit and gooseberry flavours, the sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. The effervescence is gentle allowing the wine to finish dry and softly chalky in texture. Made from fruit selected from sites including the Lower Wairau and Brancott valleys for the style. Cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 6.6 g/L rs. A more restrained sparkling Sauvignon Blanc that can be served with a variety of seafood or as an aperitif over the summer months. 16.0/20 Nov 2011 RRP $19.50
