Saint Clair ‘Vicar’s Choice’ ‘Bright Light’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Nov-2013
A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon given some skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 9.5% alc. and 8.5 g/L RS. Bright, light, pale pink colour with light purple hints on rim. The nose is fresh and moderately full with delicate aromas of passionfruit, fresh herbs and gooseberries harmoniously entwined with redcurrant notes, lifted with red florals. Off-dry to taste, light and integrated fruit flavours of redcurrants and passionfruit are lifted with red floral elements. There is good mouthfeel, presence and vinosity, with rounded textures allied to fresh, lacy acidity. Smooth flowing with a delicate line, slippery acidity carries the delicate and aromatic flavours to a sustained finish. This is a delicate rosé with good vinosity and a smooth flowing palate. Serve al fresco and as an aperitif over the next 18 months to 2 years. 17.0-/20 Nov 2013 RRP $19.50
