Saint Clair ‘Premium’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Dec-2015
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on the rim. This has an elegantly concentrated nose with a core of pungent passionfruit aromas softly melded with layers of tropical fruit and subtle floral and herbal detail. The fruit is focussed and grows in richness with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly concentrated flavours of ripe passionfruit and tropical fruits are interwoven with herbs and florals forming a rich heart. The wine flows along a soft-textured, rounded line with integrated lacy acidity lending energy and freshness. The palate has excellent vinosity, density and drive and carries to a long, harmoniously textured, passionfruity finish. This is a softly concentrated, rich, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with interest and detail. Match with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from Dillons Point and the lower Wairau, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $21.50
