Brilliant, very pale straw colour with green hues, pale on rim. This has a very fresh, pristine and focussed nose of gooseberries and passionfruit, with piquant blackcurrant leaf and minerally elements lending elegant intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a soft core of gooseberry fruit with subtle passionfruit and tropical fruit notes. The flavours are integrated and flow along a fine-textured, near seamless line with lively, refreshing acidity contributing to the linearity and drive. The palate carries to a dry, soft, long lingering, mouthwatering finish. This is a textbook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with a very fine, focussed gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years.
