Saint Clair ‘Premium’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Oct-2013
Fruit from vineyards in the Dillons Point and Lower Wairau regions, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3 g/L RS. Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, pale edged. This has a softly full, even and voluminous bouquet with harmoniously entwined aromas of pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits, wet stones and minerals, forming a complete amalgam. Dry to taste, flavours of passionfruit and mineral-infused tropical fruits gently fill the mouth. The mouthfeel is soft and seamless, with restrained acidity enhancing the richness, sweet fruit, and rounded, lush textures. The wine flows harmoniously to a soft, long-lingering finish that unfolds pungent passionfruit and blackcurrant elements. This is a soft and smooth-flowing Sauvignon Blanc with gentle, mouthfilling passionfruit flavours. Match with seafood, poultry and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. 18.0+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $21.50
