Saint Clair ‘Premium’ Marlborough Pinot Gris Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Apr-2017
Very pale salmon-pink colour with a little depth, near colourless on the rim. The nose is very fresh and elegantly concentrated with thirst-quenching aromas of quince and pomegranate along with subtle red florals and mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has gently rich and sweet fruit flavours of quince, pomegranate, white stonefruits and suggestions of strawberries, unveiling red florals and mouthwatering mineral notes. The palate is softly concentrated and has a light, dry-textured line with integrated acidity that carries the wine to a lingering finish of florals and minerals. This is a delicately rich and sweet fruited dry rosé with quince, pomegranate and stonefruit flavours along with red florals and thirst-quenching mineral notes. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. A blend of Pinot Gris with 3.55% Pinot Noir, the fruit given some skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.9 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Apr 2017 RRP $21.50
