Moderately deep ruby-red, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, floral, shiitake, herb and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of black cherry and blackberry entwined with rose, shiitake, thyme, cinnamon and black pepper. The fruit is well-balanced with enticing acidity and depth, unfolding herb and spice complexity along a silky tannin frame. This Southern Valleys Pinot Noir is harmonious with enticing acidity and herbaceous complexity. Match with roasted duck and lamb rack over the next 5 years.
