Saint Clair Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Feb-2011
Made from fruit sourced from the Lower Wairau Valley and Rapaura, 13.5% alc, 4.0 g/L rs. This is much more in line with the style that Saint Clair is famous for, with its powerful, tight, almost pinched, youthful nose of passionfruit and blackcurrants, and some pungent sweatiness. Bright, fresh and zingy on palate, this combines passionfruit and lime juices on a well constructed and surprisingly at this young stage, harmonious and balanced palate. Excellent depth, proportion and length. 18.5-/20 Sep 2010 RRP $19.50
