Sacred Hill ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Pinot Noir 2014

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Apr-2015
Moderately deep, dark ruby-red colour with light purple hues, lighter on edge. This has a soft and light nose with subtly building volume, showing raspberry and soft red berry fruits harmoniously intermixed with herb and red floral notes. Medium-bodied, the wine is soft and plush with juicy raspberry fruit flavours that gently flow across the palate. Light herbal nuances unfold, and soft tannin textures emerge lending a mellow, grainy mouthfeel. The acidity is restrained, allowing the fruit sweetness and tannins carry the wine to a light, dry finish. This is a soft, juicy, accessible Pinot Noir with light raspberry flavours and dry tannin textures. Serve with antipasto, pasta and poultry over the next 3+ years. Marlborough fruit destemmed, given a cold soak and fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine matured in French oak. 16.5/20 Apr 2015 RRP $24.99
