Sacred Hill Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Aug-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hue, pale on the rim. The nose is soft and gently full with harmoniously interwoven aromas of passionfruit, white florals, fresh herbs and gooseberries, along with subtle mineral notes. The aromatics build in richness with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of pungent passionfruit are melded smoothly with fresh herbs, white florals and gooseberries. The mouthfeel is easy and the wine is guided by soft phenolic textures and fresh acidity providing positive drive and energy. The wine carries to a mellow, sweet-fruited finish with passionfruit and tropical fruit elements. This is a soft and harmonious, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a smooth and balanced mouthfeel. Match with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. The ‘Orange Label’. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Aug 2016 RRP $19.99
