Sacred Hill Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Feb-2011
The word from the Sacred Hill team is that 2010 is a ‘luxury' vintage in Marlborough, a cooler one without ant weather stress, ensuring varietal concentration. This view is shared by many other Marlborough vignerons. Made from fruit from a variety of sites, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc., and <1.0 g/L rs, a TA of 7.8 g/L and pH of 3.14, this has a very pale straw colour. The nose at this point is shy, tight and somewhat linear, with gooseberry and green capsicum aromas, with a hint of passionfruit and a touch of reduction. Dry on palate, this is quite tight, almost lean with the acidity still prominent. Herbal flavours come through, though there is more to emerge. Seeing the summer through will allow the potential to show. 16.0/20 Dec 2010 RRP $21.99
