Sacred Hill Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Apr-2016
Even, dark ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is soft with gently up-front, rich and vibrant, ripe fruit aromas of dark red cherries, raspberries and dark herbal nuances that build in depth with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate possesses light, juicy, plush and sweet fruit flavours of dark raspberries and cherries. The mouthfeel is lively and lush with light tannin extraction providing supple structure, and fresh, lacy acidity lending tension. Some alcohol provides drive and the wine carries to a moderately firm, dry finish. This is an up-front, juicy and plush Pinot Noir with a light, supple structure. The ‘Orange Label’ wine. Marlborough fruit given a cold soak and fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged with French oak. 16.5+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $19.99
