Sacred Hill Marlborough Pinot Gris 2013

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Mar-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with a slight hint of blush, lighter on edge. This has a fresh, clear, aromatic bouquet of lifted florals, pear fruits and honeysuckle, harmoniously interwoven and flowing with perfumed notes. Dry to taste, light and tightly held flavours of pears and honey show with a degree of restraint. The fruit sits on a firm-textured and brisk palate with good linearity. The firmness is supported by brisk, racy, refreshing acidity, which along with the phenolics carry the fruit to a generous finish showing a little alcohol drive. Attractively aromatic, this firm and dry Pinot Gris has good line and drive. Serve with most white meat dishes over the next 3+ years. Fruit from the Southern Valleys district, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and <1 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Mar 2014 RRP $19.99
