Very dark, deep, black-hued purple-red colour, a little lighter edged, youthful in appearance. This has a beautifully fragrant and aromatic nose of ripe blackberries melded with a layering of black and violet florals, and a fine core of ripe black plums, liquorice and spices with hints if black pepper. Some herbal complexities from the whole bunch add to the aromatic array. This has finesse, beauty and seamless volume. Medium-full bodied, the palate has very rich and lusciously refined fruit flavours of blackberries and black plums entwined with exotic florals, liquorice, spices and dark herbs. The mouthfeel is smooth and seamless and the wine flows along a satin-like line, with wonderfully refined, powdery tannin extraction. The wine leads to a blossoming perfumed and aromatic finish.
